FES 341 – Forest Ecology (3)
Examines fundamentals of forest ecosystems, including factors that influence forest composition, structure, and function over space and time. Covers principles of social-ecological forest systems, species traits, species interactions, forest disturbance-succession cycles, community ecology and biodiversity, invasion ecology, landscape ecology, adaptation and transformation in forest ecosystems. Presents topics in the context of understanding a global array of forest ecosystems and considering issues in their management from multiple perspectives. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
