CROP 350 – +Challenges in World Food Production and Food Security (4)

Examines complex challenges in agriculture arising from the need to reconcile goals of food security, social equity, environmental health and economic stability. Includes students working in groups and as individuals, to analyze social, economic and environmental benefits and tradeoffs of proposed solutions or interventions for a range of stakeholders. Provides contextual knowledge of agricultural production systems by examining key factors that determine global dynamics of what and where crops are grown, and how critical inputs and management factors relate to environmental outcomes. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
