ANTH 352 – +anthropology, Health, and Environment (4)

Engages medical and environmental anthropology research to critically explore the values, meanings and ideologies associated with ecological and public health issues in localities throughout the world. Draws on theory from relevant literature and ethnographic case studies from around the world, and covers key topics related to how people are affected by, and respond to, climate change, pollution, “natural” disasters, and other forms of environmental, political, and socioeconomic change. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
