FCSJ 361 – +Food Justice (4)

Examines contemporary food systems in historical, cultural, and social justice contexts and evaluates different approaches to solving problems such as food insecurity, erosion of cultural foodways, and exploitation of agricultural laborers. Includes term project, involving individual and group tasks where groups investigate a particular food justice problem, describe what makes it multi-faceted and resistant to simple solutions, then imagine potential solutions rooted in and responsive to the multifaceted nature of the problem. CROSSLISTED as ANTH 361/FCSJ 361. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
