HST 391 – Traditional China and Japan (4)

Prehistory to Western encounters in the middle of the nineteenth century, with emphasis on the philosophical, artistic heritage, and social institutions of these two countries which form East Asia. HST 391 and HST 392 need not be taken in sequence. (H) (NC) (Bacc Core Course) This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course.
