AMT 461 – +Designing Futurisms (4)

Looks at past and present attempts to use art, media, and technology to connect people while interrogating how systemic power and oppression shape these efforts. Explores how biases, histories, and lived experiences influence our visions of utopias and dystopias, that reinforce or challenge structural inequities. Analyzes how historic and contemporary constructions of systemic oppression intersect in the design of future worlds and examine approaches to dismantling these inequities within their own fields of study.
