The relevant laws and regulations that govern the mass media; the participants in the law making process; the analytical methods and problem solving techniques used in the law making process; the laws and policies affecting journalists. Issues such as libel, privacy, obscenity, indecency, fair trail/free press and copyright are covered. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course.
