ENSC 517 – Environmental Management and Sustainability Assessment (4)

Examines a range of methods for measuring and evaluating performance towards effective environmental management and sustainability goals. Evaluates tools for making sustainable decisions and understand the limitations of a variety of assessment approaches in different contexts. Explores specific assessment techniques including environmental management systems (EMS and ISO standards), ESG (Environment-Society-Governance) reporting, the circular economy, life-cycle analysis, ecological and carbon footprinting, ecosystem services, and triple bottom line accounting. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
