FW 526 – Coastal Ecology and Resource Management (4)

Leverages student’s existing knowledge to complex coastal concerns providing exposure to diverse coastal ecosystems and stakeholder perspectives. Emphasizes experimental (participatory) learning by integrating lectures, group discussions, field activities, analyses of real-world datasets, and interaction with professionals in fields related to coastal ecology and resource management. Examines topics ranging from coastal forests to open oceans, linking science and management. Explores various venues of coastal ecology and topical issues affecting management of natural resources on the Oregon coast through immersive field excursions. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
