PHAR 543 – Vaccines and Immunizations (2)

Provides concepts of vaccines and immunization from the historical standpoint throughout medical history with a focus on specific episodes and vaccine clinical trials to modern vaccinology. Covers traditional and -omics approaches, animal models, different types of vaccines and adjuvants, immunization, and vaccine efficacy. Discusses social and political controversies around vaccines, including fundamentals of global health equity.
