PHAR 543 – Vaccines and Immunizations (2)

Provides concepts of vaccines and immunization from the historical standpoint throughout medical history with a focus on specific episodes and vaccine clinical trials to modern vaccinology. Covers traditional and -omics approaches, animal models, different types of vaccines and adjuvants, immunization, and vaccine efficacy. Discusses social and political controversies around vaccines, including fundamentals of global health equity. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
