PHAR 544 – Cancer Biology and Therapeutics (3)

Introduces oncogenes and tumor suppressors in different cancer types, hallmarks of cancer, cancer stem cells, summary of mechanisms of cancer promotion and progression, innate and adaptive immunity, cancer immunology, introduction to cancer chemoprevention using radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy, summary of their mechanisms of action including some structure-activity relationships. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
