ED 549 – Literacy Methods 1: Reading in the Elementary Classroom (3)

Introduces reading instruction with an emphasis on oral language, phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, and dyslexia. Explores the relationship between historical approaches to reading instruction and present-day, research-based pedagogies.
