NSE 588 – Radioecology (3)
Explores radionuclides in the environment: their measurement and identification, uptake and transfer through food chains. Analyzes the effect of radiation on natural populations of plants and animals. Reviews historical radiological release events and their past and present impacts. Assesses radioecological literature to evaluate current topics and controversies. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course.
