CROP 520 – Seed Science and Technology (3)
Seed formation and factors affecting their development and maturation. Seed structure and chemical composition. Physiological and biochemical aspects of seed germination, dormancy, deterioration and storability. The concept of seed quality, its importance in agriculture, its attributes and impact on field performance. Methods of measuring seed quality of conventional and genetically modified seeds. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
