HST 367 – History of Latina/Os in the United States (4)
Exploration and analysis of the Latino/a experience in the United States. Traces the Native American, Spanish, and African roots of Latinos from colonization to the present day. Analyzes the political, social, economic, and cultural develops of six major Latino groups in the United States: Central Americans, Cubans, Dominicans, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans and South Americans. Explores the similarities and differences between these groups, as well as the unique problems faced by each groups of Latinos. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
