MTH 467 – Actuarial Mathematics (3)
Explores foundations of actuarial science from the point of view of mathematical models that arise in the design and management of insurance systems. Utilizes life insurance-based models. Covers the basics of risk and insurance: risk, loss, claims, net premium, deductibles, aggregate loss, proportional reinsurance, and excess of loss reinsurance. Introduces and establishes basic properties of classical risk process, such as the Cramér Lundberg model utilizing probabilistic tools. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
