MUS 415 – Scoring Visual Media I (3)

Introduce film scoring techniques. Gain proficiency at working with visual media, understanding stylistic and creative approaches and acquire technical skills to run Logic X. Cover range of sound solutions used in silent films, independent films, mainstream and international films. Create a mock up, work quickly and efficiently and develop a simple reel as well as use techniques such as leitmotif building, layering, contour mapping, temporal building and be familiar with various sample libraries, and introductory MIDI orchestration. This course is repeatable for a maximum of 6 credits. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
