NSE 537 – Digital Radiation Measurement and Spectroscopy (3)
Principles of digital spectroscopy; application of digital filters in digital processing of detector pulses; hardware implementation of a typical digital spectrometer; introduction of Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) devices programming a digital spectrometer using Hardware Description Language (VHDL); simulation, synthesis and spectroscopy; experimental design tests and evaluation.
