NSE 537 – Digital Radiation Measurement and Spectroscopy (3)

Principles of digital spectroscopy; application of digital filters in digital processing of detector pulses; hardware implementation of a typical digital spectrometer; introduction of Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) devices programming a digital spectrometer using Hardware Description Language (VHDL); simulation, synthesis and spectroscopy; experimental design tests and evaluation. Lec/lab. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
