PHL 432 – Yoga and Tantric Traditions (4)

An examination of the theory and practice of yoga and tantra in the traditions of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, and in their contemporary popular manifestations. Emphasis on the representation of yoga and tantra in Indian literature and history, including contemplative practices, bodily disciplines, and ritual. CROSSLISTED as PHL 432/REL 432 and PHL 532/REL 532. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
