REL 208 – Introduction to Buddhist Traditions (4)
Survey of the historical development of Buddhism in India and its spread throughout Asia and beyond by investigating the literature, rituals, history and social structure of the Buddhist traditions of Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia, Tibet and the Himalayan region, China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and finally its growth in the West. CROSSLISTED as PHL 208/REL 208. (NC) This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
