SPAN 456 – Spanish in the United States (3)

Provides a foundation for the study of Spanish in the United States. Focuses on the diverse identities of Latino/as and Spanish speakers as they define what it means to be bilingual locally, regionally, and nationally. Spanish and Spanish-English bilingualism will be studied from critical sociolinguistic, historical and political perspectives. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
