CH 130 – General Chemistry of Living Systems (4)

Introduction to organic chemistry and the chemistry of biological systems. Organic nomenclature and fundamental reactions, emphasizing topics such as amino acids, proteins, biochemical energy, and nucleic acids (DNA and RNA). Intended as a terminal course in chemistry, not to serve as a prerequisite to higher numbered chemistry courses. Lec/lab. Does not count toward a chemistry minor. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
