QS 462 – Queer Theories (4)

Engages key themes and critical frameworks in queer theories. Topics include histories of sexuality; forms of oppression, including heterosexism, homophobia, and transphobia; resistance to oppression; violence against LGBTQ people; queer activism; diverse experiences of sexuality; and representations in literature, art, and popular media. CROSSLISTED as QS 462/WGSS 462 and QS 562/WGSS 562. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
