Bethany Ulman
Senior Success Coach Office: 4943 The Valley Library | |
Hometown: Corvallis, Oregon Education: Bachelor of Arts Pronouns: she/her/hers I began my career in higher education in 2007 while pursuing my bachelor’s degrees. My main role was as a study facilitator, helping student-athletes be successful in their academic pursuits. In 2014, I began working at Texas State University as an academic counselor for student-athletes. While I enjoyed the work, I felt so far away from home. I moved back to Oregon in 2016, and I began my work as a success coach for Ecampus. My aim in coaching is to help students see themselves better. I believe that students know what is best for them, but they can sometimes struggle to see a different path. When coaching students, I help them explore new perspectives to identify opportunities they hadn’t considered based on their unique skills and strengths. I consider myself lucky to work with our Ecampus students. They are strong, resilient and determined students who, in spite of obstacles, continue to move forward. I am inspired every day by their stories and their ability to persevere in earning a degree. In my spare time, I am playing with my daughter Adelaide and spending as much time outside as I can. I enjoy hiking, reading a good book, and getting together with friends and family. I look forward to helping you become the best student you can be! |
