MUS 334 – Contemporary Music Technique & Practice (4)

Creates individual and community-based musics from a variety of popular and contemporary music genres, techniques and practices. Valuable to those that require personalized feedback and want to develop the ability to imitate favorite hits, workshop new ideas, and generate original approaches to music making through improvisation, charts, audio recordings, experimentation and collective music practices. Focuses on making music through improvised means, real-time music practices as well as utilizing previous collected knowledges both through ear training, notation, or digital renderings to foster a personal voice. This course is repeatable for a maximum of 12 credits. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course.
