To our Ecampus students,
We hope you are well and looking forward to the start of spring term classes next week.
Each term, we notify our Ecampus students who have enrolled in a Corvallis campus course to let them know that it is possible that you will pay more than you expect to in tuition and fees.
Please review our tuition comparison chart to see how Ecampus and Corvallis campus rates differ. Specifically:
- If you are not a resident of Oregon, you will be charged out-of-state tuition rates for your Corvallis campus credits.
- When you register for a Corvallis campus course of at least 1 credit, student fees will be added to your bill.
- In some cases, a combination of credits from Corvallis campus and Ecampus can add up to a higher bill than selecting only Ecampus courses.
- Also, any student who takes a Corvallis campus course is required to submit current immunization documentation before Week 7 of the term. If you have questions about the policy, contact the immunization coordinator in OSU’s Student Health Services at 541-737-7573 or via email
As you have likely heard, due to COVID-19, all Corvallis spring courses are being taught remotely. Although remote instruction makes course content available online, remote instruction is different than course sections delivered through Ecampus.
For example, students in a remote Corvallis class may be required to attend lectures at specific times through online video conferencing tools like Zoom. This is different than Ecampus classes that are delivered asynchronously, with no required meeting times.
We don’t want to discourage your plan, but we do want you to be informed.
Please take a close look at your own situation before spring term begins on Monday, March 30, to consider the cost of your spring courses.
If you have any questions, we can help you sort it out. Contact Ecampus Student Services at 1-800-667-1465, option 1, or send us an email.
On a related note, be sure you have the latest information related to your continued access to course materials along with any updates to your course materials list by reading OSU Beaver Store updates during the COVID-19 response.
