Customize your time in the Master of Science in Business program by focusing your studies on a specific discipline. Each of these options requires you to earn credits in addition to the courses in the core MSB curriculum.
Finance
Take a deep dive into how individuals, businesses and public entities access financial markets, make investment decisions and monitor stakeholder behavior in the MSB’s finance option.
The option’s core coursework will teach you how to apply core financial concepts and tools to address current business challenges, use quantitative methods to evaluate the tradeoff between risk and reward, and demonstrate an understanding of ethical challenges facing financial managers, among other topics.
Financial analytics
Financial analytics is an emerging field that focuses on advanced quantitative techniques to provide critical insights into valuation, portfolio optimization and risk managements.
The financial analytics option curriculum includes foundational coursework in finance, accounting and business analytics. Discover how to integrate information technologies with data science methods to extract value from data sets, and provide a comprehensive financial analysis using appropriate tools.
Marketing insights and analytics
The marketing insights and analytics option dives into the combination of marketing insight, which gives a theoretical understanding of what drives customer behaviors, and business analytics, which provides big data analytical techniques.
Learn how to incorporate customer insights and innovative problem-solving to develop marketing strategies. You’ll master a series of techniques by completing a capstone project that addresses a real-world business challenge.
Supply chain analytics
The supply chain analytics option is at the intersection of business analytics and supply chain and logistics management — two areas in which organizations need trained and experienced leaders. In today's complex supply chain systems, businesses need real-time information and leaders who have strategic decision-making abilities.
Through the use of data management and data analytics, you’ll explore the characteristics of supply chains and identify value-enhancing efficiencies.
