Strengthen your dietetics expertise and prepare to lead
A master’s degree in nutrition was once considered optional for registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs). Now, it’s a requirement. Earn an online master’s degree in nutrition from Oregon State University, and position yourself to meet the profession’s evolving expectations and expand your impact as a dietitian.
Through advanced practice content, you’ll deepen your understanding of the connection between food and health and gain the expertise you need to translate the science of nutrition into evidence-based practice.
Two options available
No matter where you are in your career, this program will give you both the advanced knowledge and the professional credibility to make a difference for your patients and your community. Choose from two options tailored to meet your needs.
Professional dietetics
In the professional dietetics option, you’ll complete master’s level online coursework followed by an accredited dietetic internship in Oregon, working on-site in a variety of practice settings for 40 hours per week. You’ll emerge with the qualifications you need to sit for your registered dietitian nutritionist exam.
Advanced dietetics
The advanced dietetics option includes the master’s level online coursework without the dietetic internship. It’s ideal for current RDNs who want to upskill with a master’s degree but don’t need to complete an internship. It’s also a good choice for students who need or want to complete a dietetic internship close to home.
