Curriculum
The coursework in Oregon State’s online design and innovation management bachelor’s degree program will teach you all about design management practice as it relates to a wide variety of industries and business models. You’ll also learn how these practices affect social, environmental, political, cultural and economic systems.
Developed and taught by expert faculty in Oregon State’s College of Business, these online courses will equip you with the ability to apply design thinking and visual thinking processes to understand the framework of problem-solving, as well as to identify and solve human-centered design opportunities.
Degree requirements
A minimum of 180 quarter credits — at least 60 of which must be upper-division credits — are required to graduate with your design and innovation management degree, including:
- OSU's Baccalaureate Core (general education)

Honors degree online
As an undergraduate degree-seeking student, you can apply to earn an honors degree online in design and innovation management. Earning this prestigious degree gives you the opportunity to collaborate with faculty on research, complete a comprehensive thesis experience and engage in co-curricular activities.

Additional program features
Experiential learning
In this program, you must complete an experiential learning opportunity such as a project, thesis experience, internship or study abroad program. You’ll work with faculty and your academic advisor to identify an opportunity that aligns with your goals, and the experience can be completed from wherever you're located. Transfer credits
Some degree requirements may be transferred from other institutions. Please note that a minimum of 45 credits of the last 75 credits in this degree program must be completed at Oregon State (online or on campus) to meet the academic residency requirement.
Previously earned credits must be reviewed upon admittance to OSU for appropriate articulation. Additional information about transferring credits is available through OSU's Transfer Credit Central or you may request an unofficial transcript evaluation through the College of Business.
