To take your first step toward a career educating your community on agriculture, earn a minor in agricultural education online with Oregon State University. This program will lay the foundation you need to teach both in formal and non-formal settings.

A clear pathway to an agricultural education master’s degree
If you’re an Oregon State undergraduate student, this minor enables you to fulfill the prerequisites needed to apply to OSU’s on-campus Master of Science in Agricultural Education program.
All of the minor’s required core courses and many of its electives are prerequisites for the master’s program, creating a smooth path to graduate school with transcript-visible courses on your way to working in the broad field of agricultural education.
Coursework
Through a series of engaging online courses, learn to analyze historical and current trends in formal and non-formal agricultural education, and apply non-technical career skills that are specifically related to communication and leadership.
