Graphic Design – Online Minor
Learn to design visual solutions
Graphic design is at the heart of the digital world we live in, and enrolling in Oregon State University’s graphic design online undergraduate minor will help you gain critical, in-demand skills to creatively solve communication challenges in a variety of industries.
As a student in this program, you’ll gain hands-on experience using tools and technologies related to the creation, development and distribution of visual messages. You’ll also learn important principles and practices as you incorporate design skills and thinking into your overall academic experience.
Online learning with a studio-based feel
Offered by Oregon State’s School of Arts and Communication, the graphic design minor features studio-based design courses that are rarely offered online by institutions of Oregon State’s caliber. That makes this graphic design minor a leader in the online delivery of design instruction.
Coursework
The online courses in the graphic design minor explore visual, conceptual and technological topics that will prepare you to communicate more effectively. As such, you’ll learn to analyze and utilize design processes and strategy from concept to delivery.

Prerequisite
Please note that students pursuing a graphic design minor online are not required to take the prerequisite listed for GD 269. Prior to enrolling in GD 269, please email the program's head advisor, Felix Oliveros (felix.oliveros@oregonstate.edu), to request an override.
