Deepen your historical perspective

Students of history bring important historical and humanities-based perspectives to the "big problems" of our world, from racial and social injustice to violence and war. When you earn a minor in history online with Oregon State, you’ll gain knowledge and skills that will help you think critically and that can be applied to a wide variety of careers.

You’ll work with expert faculty to study the practice and theory of historical work — learning different philosophies of history, types and uses of historical evidence, varieties of historical investigation and what factors influence the writing of history.
