Ecampus Financial Hardship Grant - Undergraduate Students

Oregon State Ecampus has set aside funding to assist online students who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship that interferes with academic progress. This funding is being provided to help ensure that Ecampus students with demonstrated financial need are able to continue their education at OSU.

Undergraduate eligibility

Please review eligibility criteria listed below. If you believe you are eligible, please complete the online application to apply for funds prior to the deadline. Applications will be reviewed and awarded in a timely manner until allotted funds have been expended for the academic year. Eligible students may receive up to $1000 per academic year.

Ecampus Financial Hardship Grant Fund Eligibility Criteria (must meet all the following):

  • Current or continuing undergraduate Ecampus students, and
  • Enrolled in at least 6 online Oregon State credit hours during the current academic term at the time of application, and
  • Currently experiencing economic hardship that significantly impedes academic progress
  • Clearly explains how this financial hardship will interrupt academic progress
  • Winter 2024 applications must be received by midnight (PDT) on March 20, 2024.
  • Application review for spring term 2024 will begin on April 1, 2024.

Award Process:

  • Submit your application and look for an in-page message confirming successful receipt. Applicants will be reviewed on a first-come-first-served basis to determine award eligibility.
  • The review committee may ask for additional information or supporting documentation. Please include detailed application responses to expedite the review process.
  • Applicants will be notified within 7 – 10 business days of the final decision and any necessary next steps.
