ENG 101 – Introduction to Literature: the Young Adult Novel (3)
Explores the craft, culture and racial significance, and emotional impact of contemporary young adult fiction. Examines Young Adult fiction as a category of reading audience that contains multiple genres. Considers such urgent topics as race, immigration, and gender identity while also attending to formal elements such as significant detail, tone, symbolism, and metaphor as portrayed in the young adult experience. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
