ANS 121 – +Introduction to Animal Sciences (4)

Examines the core sciences used in the study of domestic animals (livestock, poultry and companion animals) that include nutrition, reproduction, genetics, behavior, anatomy and physiology. Informs how these science fields with their theories, concepts and principles will impact the care and management of domestic animals and their uses for food/fiber production, companionship, and/or work. Explores domestic animals’ role in society, economics, and daily life at a local, regional, and global level. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
