PHL 205 – +Introduction to Ethics (4)

Introduces ethical theory and the evaluation of contemporary moral problems in the Western intellectual tradition. Includes the study of philosophical theories such as utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics, social contract theory, feminist ethics. Includes topics of moral responsibility, cultural relativism, and other philosophical ideas behind ethical debates in society. Encourages students to develop their own positions on ethical issues. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
