ED 219 – Social Justice,Civil Rights & Multiculturalism in Education (3)

Covers examination of equity and injustice based on social groupings such as race, gender, language, and ability. Discusses equitable approaches and power in systems and institutions of society (e.g., schooling, curriculum, educational policy) and how to actively make change. Reviews contemplation of multiculturalism and personal experiences through a wholeness approach. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course.
