GTA/GRA can be applied to Ecampus courses
Ecampus credits are viewed as no different than on-campus courses and count toward reaching full-time enrollment (12 credits) for graduate students. Similarly, Ecampus courses will count toward full-time enrollment status for graduate scholarships, fellowships and scholarship/fellowship tuition relief programs. Please note, if using the GTA/GRA tuition remission, students are still responsible for paying the $80 distance-education fee (per credit) for taking an Ecampus course.

Ecampus courses are totally supported by tuition and fee revenue.
Tuition and fees for Ecampus courses are set at levels necessary to cover the direct costs of providing the courses.

What are the services associated with the distance education fee?

This fee covers items necessary to the delivery of distance courses such as: the development and production of online and video courses delivered via the internet, Blackboard technology licensing fee, financial and registration services and online/telephone student services.

Information for new students

Once you have been admitted to OSU as a degree-seeking student, there are initial fees that will be required:

Advance Tuition Deposit (ATD)

To confirm your intent to enroll as an undergraduate degree-seeking student with Oregon State Ecampus, you must submit the Advance Tuition Deposit (ATD) form along with your $200 deposit as this allows us to create your student account.

Remember (Fall Term Only): Payment for your Advance Tuition Deposit is required of all undergraduate degree-seeking students. This will allow you to register for fall term classes. As of May 1 your deposit is nonrefundable.

For all other terms, the ATD is refundable up to three weeks before the start of the term.

If you are a transfer student, paying your ATD will trigger a transcript evaluation by the Office of Admissions.

For Degree Partnership Program (DPP) students: Payment for your Advance Tuition Deposit is required once you have been admitted. Your status will remain active provided you enroll in a class at OSU within the next 10 terms. The deposit will be applied to your OSU account in the term of registration.

Post-baccalaureate students are exempt from the Advance Tuition Deposit (ATD) requirement.

Learn more about the Advance Tuition Deposit and how to submit your payment.
