Writing instructor Jameson recognized for innovative methods

March 18, 2015  ·  < 1  ·  By Tyler Hansen

The Division of University of Outreach and Engagement today named faculty member Sara Jameson as the recipient of its Innovation in Online Credit-based Teaching Award. Jameson, a senior instructor in OSU’s School of Writing, Literature, and Film, was honored as part of the O&E division’s Vice Provost Awards for Excellence ceremony.

The award is given to a candidate who has pioneered an innovative approach to the design or execution of teaching online. That is an area in which Jameson continually excels.

“In the nearly four years I’ve worked with Sara, I have found her to be consistently forward-thinking, collaborative, innovative and, above all, student-centered,” said Shannon Riggs, the OSU Ecampus director of Course Development and Training. “… Our team works with more than 600 faculty members. Within this large population, Sara Jameson consistently stands out as a shining star, a leader among her peers.”
