“As an academic advisor, I guide, support and encourage my students as they move through their program and on to graduation,” says Josie Miranda, HDFS Ecampus academic advisor. “I see my relationship with my students as a partnership. I truly love my job!”
“My initial appointment with students is always by phone or video. The first half of that appointment is all about getting to know the student – why they chose OSU, why business, and most importantly, what are the expectations of this degree. That helps me to understand how I may best serve that student,” says business academic advisor Lindsay Andrews.
“I speak with so many students who would not be able to get a college education if they had to earn the degree in person because of health, family, work, military commitments and other reasons. Because online degrees allow flexibility with when to study, it makes getting a degree possible,” says Political Science Academic Advisor Andy Edwards.
