Oregon State Ecampus graduate ‘shocked’ by her scientific success

As a kid, Andrea Fuchs dreamed of someday working with animals. Those dreams were squelched – at least in her mind – because she struggled in high school math and science classes. She figured she’d never work in an animal sciences-related field without being skilled in those disciplines. But when a web search for reputable online degree programs led her to discover Oregon State’s award-winning fisheries and wildlife sciences bachelor’s program, all she could think about was her childhood aspirations.

OSU Ecampus to enhance online chemistry lab courses with adaptive learning

Oregon State University Ecampus announced an innovative collaboration with Smart Sparrow that will allow chemistry faculty to design their own wet lab simulations to enhance the student learning experience in place of in-person lab experiments. The project stems from a campus-wide initiative to scale the application of adaptive courseware to improve outcomes for Oregon State undergraduate students who learn online.
