What does completing your degree mean to you? How do you feel it will improve your life and career?
Completing my degree means following through on a dream that began when I was in the sixth grade. At that time I decided I wanted to be a biologist. Even though I did go to college out of high school in order to do this, I ended up following a different path. Being able to finish my degree now gave me the chance for a career that I had always dreamt of.

Why did you choose to complete your degree online through OSU Extended Campus? What did you like about this method of education?
Because I had moved to a very rural, isolated location, and science degrees are normally not available online, I chose the OSU natural resources degree. This worked out perfectly for me: to be able to finish my degree while also keeping close to the biology and science background.

Did you have an instructor or advisor who was influential in helping you succeed as a distance student?

Many of my instructors were helpful, but classes with Bob Ehrhart were very valuable for both my degree and also future work as a professional.

What will your Ecampus degree allow you to do that you were unable to do before?
It allows me to have a job that I love while also being able to provide for my children on my own.
