Liz Hitt

"My education has been like making a quilt...pieced together over the years, but finally finished! I've lived all over the U.S...taken classes at five or six different colleges, interspersed with active duty in the Army, some in Desert Storm. Then I landed near Bend in '95 to hopefully stay for awhile." She took a few classes at Central Oregon Community College and learned about OSU's degree completion program through the Central Oregon University Center. She worked and took a few classes then decided to go full time in the fall of '98.

"I really preach the word about OSU to anyone who will listen...it's been the best Liberal Studies program! The professors are great...they were very demanding, some of the toughest I've had. I took some fascinating courses...the weekend classes on women studies and science of religion were exceptional."

Liz landed a great job running the College Housing Office at Central Oregon Community College. "My degree put me at the head of the list of candidates. Without it, I may not have gotten the job."
