Oregon State is the best university in the nation when it comes to delivering a high-quality liberal arts education online, according to a newly published ranking.

College Choice, a leading authority in college and university rankings and resources, ranked Oregon State as #1 on its list of the 25 Best Online Liberal Arts Colleges for 2023. OSU’s College of Liberal Arts offers dozens of full degrees, certificates and micorcredentials online through Oregon State Ecampus, the university’s distance education division.

It’s the latest in a long line of national recognition for Ecampus. For many consecutive years, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Oregon State top 10 in the nation for online bachelor’s programs.

College Choice bases its ranking on “academic reputation, student satisfaction, affordability, and average annual salary of graduates,” using institutional data and figures from resources such as The National Center for Education Statistics and PayScale.

Its profile of Oregon State noted that “students learn from the same on-campus faculty and earn the same diploma as on-campus students, and they also are supported through digital tutoring, career services, and library resources.”
