Ecampus student 1 of 7 at OSU to earn scholarship to study abroad

Esmeralda Sanchez, an OSU Ecampus student in fisheries and wildlife sciences, will participate in a forest conservation program in Malaysian Borneo after being awarded a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study internationally during the 2020-21 academic year. It’s part of a congressionally funded program designed to broaden U.S. participation in education abroad.

Oregon State counseling Ph.D. student earns $20,000 national fellowship award

Daniel Cisneros, a student in Oregon State’s Ph.D. in Counseling online program, has been awarded a $20,000 counseling fellowship from the National Board for Certified Counselors Foundation to aid his research efforts and professional work that focus on serving LGBTQ+ and other underrepresented individuals.

Business administration online student ‘always dreaming’ of his next move

This is a story about Josh Griffie, whose life plans have been disrupted so frequently that he can only laugh when asked where he finds the strength to keep going. He’s finishing his Oregon State business administration bachelor’s degree online through OSU Ecampus, and he’s doing it while coping with chronic health issues, job loss and the general turmoil caused by COVID-19. “One of my biggest strengths is my ability to adapt, dream and persevere,” he says.
