Students who pursue a degree online with Oregon State University receive an outstanding education thanks largely to the expertise of the OSU faculty, according to a list published Tuesday by U.S. News & World Report.
Oregon State ranks No. 6 nationally for Best Online Bachelor’s Programs, a list that evaluates institutions on the quality of their academic offerings, the level of support and engagement students receive and the credentials of faculty.
OSU is the only institution in the U.S. to have earned a top-10 ranking in each of the past 12 years.
“This recognition year after year is the result of Oregon State’s collaborative, intentional and long-term investment in high-quality online education,” said Lisa L. Templeton, the vice provost of the Division of Educational Ventures. “Our online programs are designed to remove barriers while maintaining the academic quality modern learners expect from a leading public research university.
“We’re proud that our many partners throughout the OSU community have a shared focus on supporting student success at every stage of the learning experience.”
Oregon State delivers 59 bachelor’s degrees online and more than 125 degrees, certificates and microcredentials in all at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Nearly 1 in 3 OSU students learns exclusively online, including 11,647 this past fall term.
