Outdoor Recreation Resource Management – Online Microcredential

In today's world, resource management plays a critical role in sustainable outdoor recreation. To ensure the longevity of outdoor spaces, it’s important to preserve our natural resources while promoting recreational activities that inspire a wider appreciation of the outdoors.
When you earn a microcredential in outdoor recreation resource management online from Oregon State University, you’ll learn park management theories and policies that can help address evolving environmental challenges and safeguard these precious areas. The courses will teach you the complexities of parks and protected areas management, including policies and global issues. You’ll also learn communication skills and techniques for engaging visitors, fostering outdoor appreciation and promoting environmental stewardship.
This microcredential in the College of Forestry was developed in partnership with Oregon State’s Center for the Outdoor Recreation Economy, which works to ensure the recreation economy is a positive driver of economic, social and environmental change in Oregon and beyond.
