Program details
While providing a broad understanding of both public health and business, this program is focused on health care leadership. The curriculum features four health care innovation-focused courses that will teach you to rethink care processes using technology and data to make informed decisions.
The healthcare administration program is delivered online by Oregon State’s College of Health, and it was developed in partnership with OSU’s College of Business.
Degree requirements
A minimum of 180 quarter credits — at least 60 of which must be upper-division credits — are required to graduate with your degree in healthcare administration, including:
- OSU’s Core Education
- Major requirements: Healthcare administration

Additional program features
Internship
This program enables you to benefit from directed field experience in the form of an in-person internship. Working with your academic advisor, you’ll choose from one of two internship courses: H 459 – Health Management and Policy Internship, or H 439 – General Public Health Internship. Both courses allow for individually arranged experiences in your local area or beyond.
Transfer credits
Some degree requirements may be transferred from other institutions. Please note that a minimum of 45 credits of the last 75 credits in this degree program must be completed at Oregon State (online or on campus) to meet the academic residency requirement.
Previously earned credits must be reviewed upon admittance to OSU for appropriate articulation. Additional information about transferring credits is available through OSU’s Transfer Credit Central.
