College of Business, College of Education and College of Engineering students are charged a differential in addition to the regular tuition. The above lists current tuition and fees for business, education and engineering students who take Ecampus courses (in any subject).

On-campus students: If you take classes both delivered online and on-site at OSU during any term, you will be charged the appropriate Ecampus tuition rate for Ecampus credits plus the appropriate campus-based tuition rate for credits completed on-site.

Examples of regular Ecampus tuition:

3-credit undergraduate course: 3 x $297 = $891
3-credit graduate course: 3 x $538 = $1,614

Tuition information

GTA/GRA can be applied to Ecampus courses
Ecampus credits are viewed as no different than on-campus courses and count toward reaching full-time enrollment (12 credits) for graduate students. Similarly, Ecampus courses will count toward full-time enrollment status for graduate scholarships, fellowships and scholarship/fellowship tuition relief programs.

Other fees

Once you have been admitted to OSU as a degree-seeking student, there are initial fees that will be required:

Advance tuition deposit (ATD)

To confirm your intent to enroll as an undergraduate degree-seeking student with Oregon State Ecampus, you must submit the advance tuition deposit (ATD) form along with your $200 deposit, as this allows us to create your student account.

Remember (fall term only): Payment for your advance tuition deposit is required of all undergraduate degree-seeking students. This will allow you to register for fall term classes. As of May 1, your deposit is nonrefundable.

For all other terms, the ATD is refundable up to three weeks before the start of the term.

If you are a transfer student, paying your ATD will initiate a transcript evaluation by the Office of Admissions.

For Degree Partnership Program (DPP) students: Payment for your advance tuition deposit is required once you have been admitted. Your status will remain active provided you enroll in a class at OSU within the next 10 terms. The deposit will be applied to your OSU account in the term of registration.

Some students may qualify for ATD exemptions. Postbaccalaureate students are not required to submit the ATD.

Learn more about the advance tuition deposit and how to submit your payment.

Matriculation fee

All new students (except nondegree seeking) are charged a one-time matriculation fee at the start of their first term at OSU.

Undergraduate matriculation fee $350
Graduate matriculation fee   $350
