I recently joined the Ecampus student success team after working as an academic advisor and diversity advocate for the School of Public Policy and the College of Liberal Arts here at Oregon State. My previous positions in higher education also include international student services and advising at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and INTO OSU.

I love working in higher education and have come to realize how my experience as a student has impacted all aspects of my life. As an undergraduate, my academic pursuits led me to conduct field research in the arts and social development in New Zealand, Tonga and South Africa. I also toured the U.S. and internationally as part of a performing arts group. My current experience as a nontraditional graduate student has challenged and strengthened me in many ways and reinforced my commitment to supporting our online learners. I’m also deeply committed to issues of inclusion, access and equity for underrepresented and marginalized student groups.

As a success coach, I position myself as an advocate by supporting your individual personal and academic goals as you decide how to carve out your own unique academic path. My approach to coaching is rooted in values of collaborative and collective knowledge, learning and development. I feel fortunate to work directly with students and explore areas of student success on a daily basis.
